Our commitment to you
At Masters Home Improvement, we pride ourselves on giving the best quality, brands and service. So if for any reason you’re not happy with your purchase, we’ll do our best to fix the problem.
The benefits given to you by our Returns Policy either reflect our obligations to you under the Australian Consumer Law or are otherwise in addition to the rights and remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Bringing it back
To make life easy, we have a Returns Desk located at the front of every Masters Home Improvement store.
It’s always best to keep your tax invoice, docket or receipt as proof of purchase in case you need to make a return. We’ll give you your refund in the same way that you paid with proof of purchase.
If we accept your return without proof of purchase, your refund value will be in the form of a Returns Card that must be used within 6 months.
Change of mind?
We know that sometimes you get your purchase home and maybe it’s the wrong size, wrong colour or the wrong idea. As long as you’ve got your proof of purchase and your product is in its original, unopened packaging, we’ll give you a refund. No questions asked.
What we can’t do is exchange or refund for custom made products, cut to size items or tinted paints or stains.
Your Rights
In addition to our change of mind policy, you also have rights under the Australian Consumer Law. In relation to such rights, we must tell you that:
“Our Goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the Goods repaired or replaced if the Goods fail to be of Acceptable Quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure”.
Repairs & Service
Where you wish to have your product repaired or serviced in circumstances where the product has not suffered a failure that would amount to a breach of one of the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, we can refer you to the manufacturer for repairs and service of the product, often at your own cost.
Product Assessment
When you bring the product back in to Masters Home Improvement, we’ll need to assess it to find out how we can best help you whether it’s a refund, exchange or repair job. We’ll do this as quickly as possible. However making an assessment, get the repair done and getting the product back to you may take up to 6 weeks.
If we have to do a site visit because the product’s too big to move, talk to us and we’ll arrange a time that works for you.
